  • A serving of Alka Green Powder is 1 teaspoon and each bottle of Alka Green Powder contains 100 servings. We recommend taking 1-3 teaspoons daily, so each bottle will last about 1 to 3 months depending on usage.

• • What can I mix Alka Green powder with?
  • Everyone's tastes vary, so it depends on your personal preference. Most customers mix with 8 to 12 ounces of apple cider or orange juice. Some customers choose carrot, tomato or V-8 juice. Others simply mix Alka Green in water.
    
    Some customers also mix Alka Green powder with some of our other supplements. One of the most popular mixes is what we call our Power Drink Pack. A 'Power Drink' includes 2 scoops of Alka Slim, 1-3 teaspoons of Alka Green Powder and 10 drops of Trace Minerals. mixed with Orange Juice, Apple Cider or Tomato Juice.
    
    Some folks also make a 'Power Drink' smoothie. A common recipe includes 2 scoops of Alka Slim, 1-3 teaspoons of Alka Green Powder and 10 drops of Trace Minerals mixed with 3-5 ice cubes, 8-12 ounces of Orange Juice and a banana or frozen berries.
    
    NOTE: For those mixing Alka Green in water, remember that no sugar is added to Alka Green. This makes Alka Green healthier for you, but just realize that mixing Alka Green with water will taste very green. This is natural and very healthy, but might take getting used to.
    
    As you become healthier and more alkaline, Alka Green will start to taste better to you. If it tastes bad when you first start taking it, this means you really need it. As you continue taking it, the taste tends to grow on you and gets better each week.

• • How tall is the barley grass when it is harvested?
  • The barley is harvested when it is 10” high. It is grown in a climate best suited for the deepest roots to get the most minerals. This early harvesting takes advantageous of the high nutrient density of young plants versus older plants. Plus, at this young age, the barley plants are bright green, indicating high amounts of chlorophyll.

• • Which should I use, the Alka green tablets or the Alka green powder?
  • Whether you take the tablets or the powder is really dependent on your personal preference. Some customers prefer the convenience of taking tablets (especially when travelling). Other customers prefer mixing Alka Green powder with juice or in a smoothie, especially as a morning or late afternoon energy boost. Customers also mix the powder with our weight loss product called Alka Slim and with our liquid mineral supplement called Trace Minerals (we call this combo our Power Drink Pack). In the end, both the tablets and the powder works great, so choose whichever you think will better fit your needs.

• • What is the maximum temperture that the barley grass is subjected to during its processing?
  • When processing Alka Green , the internal temperature never reaches above 107 degrees F. The barley passes thru the dryer very quickly and is only exposed to maximum temperatures very briefly.
