Alka Pan - Digestive Enzymes Reviews Hi, I have had this hernia for a good two years. There were times when prilosec did not help the heartburn. A friend of mine went into the hospital a couple of years ago and she while there she was diagnosed with C-Diff. I have never heard of C-Diff, so I started a research on this and found out I needed to quit using prilosec because doctors feel this is one of the causes of it. It is highly contagious. Getting off of prilosec WAS NOT EASY1111 I have tried many alternatives such as, Braggs vinegar,lots of rolaids, which, are not good for you. A friend of mine told me about Alka Pan and for the first time in along time I'm finally finding relief. I need at least 5 hrs after eating before going to bed, I eat my salads and vegtables at the end of the meal, because they take less acid to digest. It has taken me a good two years before finding relief. Using proton inhibitors will not relieve your acid you will only need stronger ones with a lot of side effects.
